Wine, Fudge, and what?
Today's Run: 3.0 miles
Run Time: 31:14 minutes
Total Miles to Date: 861.3 miles
Thoughts on the Run:
So today was a "lazy" day. We slept in, rolled out to a wonderful breakfast, then went shopping. We love to pick up a whole grain mill ground porridge that is sold locally. The mill is across the street from a local winery. They have a great wine that has a fruity, spiced flavor (almost like pepper) which I enjoy on occasion, so we picked up a bottle. Then it was in town to walk and browse the various shops. We found a fudge store and picked up some fudge which will be enjoyed sparingly throughout the holidays.
Came home and ... yes ... ran! It was an odd run. The loop was half in shade, half in the sun. The shade was cold and windy, probably close to mid 30s, while the sun felt more like high 40s ... so major drop and rise in temperature. It was an easy 3 miler. I felt like I was plodding along slowly but to my surprise, I finished the run at close to a 10-minute mile pace.
Now I believe I deserve a piece of that fudge!
